Our postage is changing for the better, find out why
Postage, we do a lot of it and it hasn't always been successful. Find out more below about how our postage system is changing and what to expect on your next order.
We know postage hasn't been the most reliable in recent months and we have finally been able to change it!
So back in March, when the pandemic started, we were using first class Royal Mail postage and thought that (as it had been since we started this business) post would get there next day regardless. We soon realised that with the pandemic, things were getting lost, delayed or turning up after weeks in depot with no way of knowing until we had emails from customers asking where their orders were.
So we started using signed for while keeping our postage cost to you the same and the service was better, parcels were mostly getting there safely but as the months went on, this too started to fail. Parcels were not getting there 100% of the time as we were so unhappy that this was completely out of our control.
After many (and I mean many) hours on the phone to RM to figure this out and get it all sorted we are here with a brand new service.
What's the difference?
EXCITING NEWS we are now going fully tracked 24 hour mail and so post should get there with tracking one working day from dispatch! We want you all to have the freshest bakes possible and to enjoy them the best you can. You should get a notification when your parcel is out for delivery, when it has been delivered and also you should be able to track the location at any point where the parcel has been scanned as well as get an email and text so you know when it is getting delivered.
We really hope that this sorts out the last piece in our dispatch system puzzle so that you can have the best customer journey you can with us!
What does this mean for you?
Well, it does mean our postage price is changing from next thursday (1st October) from £3.70 to £4.50 but this now means we can be bringing out more flavours and getting them to you as soon as possible without production getting delayed by issues with our courier.
You can still use your brownie points against any purchase, use discount codes and delivery is still free over £35 but the price will go up by 80p for orders below that.
Ingredients have gotten more expensive this year and we want to keep our price point as low as we can so I hope you can understand us changing our postage to reflect the true postage cost.
If you have any questions please let us know and don't hesitate to reach out!
