Dan’s Reset Routine: How I’m Getting Back on Track (5 tips)
Alright, confession time: I needed a reset. And since so many of you said “RESET,” here’s exactly what I’m doing right now to get back on the wagon (and stay there).
1. Fasting (My Secret Weapon)
I’m writing this at 1:40pm on a Tuesday—and I haven’t eaten yet today. Fasting helps me reset my appetite, gives my body a break, and makes me more mindful about what I eat when I do finally break my fast. Sometimes it’s just black coffee and water until my first meal.
2. Smart Treats, Not Triggers
When I do eat, I reach for things that won’t send me down the wrong path. That’s where my own chocolate comes in—low-carb, no blood sugar spikes, and honestly, it keeps me from reaching for the bread or biscuits that undo all my hard work.

I’ve learned that for me, it’s the sneaky carbs—like toast or a “just this once” pastry—that make the biggest difference. I keep them out of the house (or at least out of sight) and fill up on protein, veggies, and good fats.
4. Resetting, Not Quitting
If I slip up (and I do!), I don’t beat myself up. I just hit reset again the next day. Progress isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being persistent. If I fancy something sweet then I simply have a little piece of Deliciously Guilt Free Chocolate.
5. Community & Accountability
Sharing this journey with you lot keeps me honest. If you’re reading this, you’re part of my reset team. Let’s hold each other to it.
