Just sampled some gorgeous Dark Chilli Chocolate recently & I have to say that I was very impressed. The flavour is delicately subtle & not too overpowering. Will most certainly be ordering this again!

Getting the chilli balance right is the tricky bit, so I’m really pleased the warmth came through without taking over the dark chocolate.

I really like the taste of the peanut butter chocolate but prefer the non filled ones as they break easier. Definitely worth a go if you like peanut butter though
Lynn, that’s a really fair take on the Peanut Butter bar.
The filling does make it softer than our solid bars, so I completely understand preferring the cleaner snap of those. I’m very glad the flavour still won you over though 😊
And I agree... if you’re a peanut butter fan, it’s definitely one to try.

Got admit I was disappointed with the milk chocolate, appreciate it is designed for people with diabetes so some change to flavour was expected however it was not pleasant and lacked sweetness. Not sure i can justify high price of bars. Excellent customer service however and wish you every success.

We deliberately keep the sweetness lower so the cocoa flavour comes through, but I completely understand that if you’re used to a sweeter milk chocolate it can taste very different. One thing I’d suggest, if you have any left, is trying it fully at room temperature. Because we use proper cocoa butter, the texture softens and the flavour tends to come through much better as it warms.
I also completely understand your point about the price. We make our chocolate by hand in small batches using proper cocoa butter rather than cheaper fats or palm oil, which does make it more expensive to produce, but ultimately it still has to feel worth it to you.

Good for me having no sugar as I am a diabetic but unfortunately I found the product quite unpalatable
Roger, I’m sorry the taste wasn’t for you.
We keep the sweetness much lower than standard chocolate, so it can taste quite different if you’re used to something sweeter. One thing I would really recommend, if you have any left, is letting it come fully to room temperature before eating it. Because we use proper cocoa butter, the chocolate softens as it warms and both the flavour and texture tend to come through much better. Eating it chilled can dull the flavour quite a bit.

I recently ordered an espresso bar which when it arrived had 'blossomed'. I got in touch with the Team who helpfully supplied a raspberry bar as a replacement. Wow. What a great bar of chocolate. Two of my very favourite tastes in one....it was fab. I would recommend it without hesitation

I eat squares of Organic Green and Blacks 85% dark chocolate everyday so am really used to high quality chocolate. This stuff tasted bad and I think the sweetners in it made my stomach ache afterwards. I’d bought 4 bars so i took the rest in to work with me but no one liked it there either so i actually put two bars in the bin. Won’t buy again.
I’m really sorry this was such a disappointing experience, especially after buying four bars.
Taste is incredibly personal, particularly when you’re used to a very dark 85% chocolate, but I completely understand why this one wasn’t for you. The sweeteners we use can also affect people differently, so I’m sorry to hear you felt unwell afterwards.
It’s never nice hearing that chocolate ended up in the bin, but I genuinely appreciate you giving us a try and being honest about your experience.

First of all, YUM.
Smooth, satisfying and gooey.
Impossible not to eat the whole lot in one go.
Only niggle is it doesn't 'snap' when you try to break off chunks. Even when totally chilled straight from the fridge, it kind of squishes in the packet, so you have to scrape it off the wrapper with your finger and lick it off. But, hey, tastes amazing 😚

I’m really glad you loved the flavour. You’re right about the softer texture too... with that peanut butter filling it doesn’t have quite the same clean snap as some of our other bars, and it can get a little messy.
Although having to lick the chocolate off your fingers isn’t the worst problem to have 😂

A nice chocolate and smooth when eating it considering there isn't much sugar content. This one I found tasted more like a dark chocolate and I would prefer it to be sweeter.

I’m glad you liked the smooth texture, although I completely understand wanting a sweeter Milk if that’s more to your taste. Ours is deliberately less sweet so the cocoa comes through more, which can make it feel closer to a darker chocolate than some people expect.

This tastes every bit as good as CDM used to, before they messed with the recipe - and it’s SO hard to believe that it’s diabetic friendly, but hooray! It is. Mine disappears so quickly that I’m sure it evaporates…😂

Being compared to how CDM used to taste is a huge compliment, especially when you’re saying ours still gives you that proper chocolate experience.

I am unsure about chilli chocolate, whilst I like chilli, not sure about it with chocolate. I think this could well be an acquired taste, it is by no means awful, but just not one of my favourites. I have another bar to try, so maybe it will grow on me!!
Ray, I think “acquired taste” is probably fair with Chilli Chocolate.
That little bit of heat with chocolate is definitely one of those combinations people either take to straight away or need a bit of time with. I’m glad it wasn’t a complete miss though, and I’ll be interested to see whether bar number two wins you over a bit more.
